Submission deadline is February 28th, 2026 with categories across both visual and performing arts:

  • Music: Battle of the Bands, Singer-Songwriter, and DJ/Electronic Music

  • Fashion & Wearable Art

Scholarships & Prize Pool
The scholarship prize pool will continue to grow through the Awards Announcement and Online Exhibition. Unlike most competitions, 100% of program donations, submission contributions, and support from our benefactors go directly toward building the prize pool. Every dollar raised strengthens the opportunities available for student-artists.

A Celebration of Talent & Community
The SACSN High School Art Awards recognize the next generation of creators — not only for their artistic vision, but also for their leadership and service. By connecting students, schools, and supporters across art and music, the Awards continue SACSN’s mission: Stand Out. Give Back. Succeed.

Meet The
Selection Committe Chair

Michael McGinnis former President and CEO of Phillips Auction House and current partner of Mnuchin Gallery in New York City.

McGinnis joined the Auction House in 1999, when he left Christie’s to found the contemporary art department at Phillips. Under his guidance, the company has set auction records for artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Damien Hirst and Ed Ruscha.

He joined the Mnuchin Gallery as a partner in March 2016. The Gallery is recognized for its thoughtfully curated, carefully researched exhibitions, each documented with a scholarly publication. Its programming includes solo and two-person shows by some of the most influential figures of Abstract Expressionism, Minimalism, and Color Field painting, including John Chamberlain, Ellsworth Kelly, Willem de Kooning, Donald Judd, Helen Frankenthaler, Morris Louis, and Robert Motherwell. The gallery has also collaborated with leading contemporary artists, such as El Anatsui, David Hammons, Sean Scully, Cindy Sherman, Lynda Benglis and Christine Ay Tjoe. In recent years, Mnuchin Gallery has reintroduced a number of historically under-recognized artists to a broader audience, with major exhibitions by Ed Clark, Sam Gilliam, Simon Hantai, Kazuo Shiraga, Alma Thomas, Betty Blayton and Mary Lovelace O'Neal which have contributed to important reevaluations of these artist’s legacies. In addition, the gallery is known for its thematic presentations, such as Casting Modernity: Bronze in the XXth Century, David Hammons: Five Decades, Chamberlain/De Kooning, Minimalism & Beyond, REDS, De Kooning: Five Decades, The Art of Marriage: Frankenthaler & Motherwell and Church & Rothko: Sublime.
